If you live in an urban area, the 2019 Jaguar F-Pace may be a more
suitable vehicle for you. Its variable-assist power steering makes it easier to
maneuver in tight quarters and contributes to a more controlled ride around
turns. The Maserati Levante does not have a variable-assist power steering. The
Jaguar's advantage in maneuverability is further enhanced by its smaller size.
It is 10.7 inches shorter than its rival. In a Motor Trend test, the Jaguar
completed the "figure eight" maneuver in just 25.9 seconds, while the Maserati
recorded a time of 26.7 seconds.
Additionally, the Jaguar F-Pace is 400 to 800 pounds lighter than
the Maserati Levante, which translates to better fuel economy, acceleration, and handling. You will
also get stronger stopping power from the F-Pace. The SUV can come to a
complete stop from 60 mph in 107 feet, while the Maserati needs 127 feet to do
the same.
Fuel Economy
Another appealing aspect of the Jaguar F-Pace is its impressive
fuel economy ratings. Its 25t and 30t models deliver 22/27 mpg (city/highway),
while the Maserati Levante only manages 15/21 mpg. Even the
performance-oriented F-Pace S gets better gas mileage than the Maserati, giving
you 18/23 mpg.
Luxury & Convenience
Whether you choose the 2019 Jaguar F-Pace or 2019 Maserati
Levante, you will get a long list of comfort and convenience features.
Nonetheless, the Jaguar has a number of features that are unavailable in the
Maserati.
All F-Pace trims except the base model and Premium offer an
optional heads-up display. This feature projects speed and other important
instrumentation readouts in the driver's line of sight, so you can view the
information without looking away from the road. Also, the Jaguar has a unique
feature that enables you to lower or raise the windows at the outside door
handles, which is useful during hot and rainy days.
If you need to routinely carry a lot of stuff, you will appreciate
the Jaguar F-Pace's generous cargo space. The crossover offers 33.5 cubic feet
of cargo space with its rear seats upright, while the Maserati Levante gives
you only 19.4 cubic feet. With the rear seats folded, you will get 63.5 cubic
feet of storage space in the Jaguar and 57.3 cubic feet in the Maserati.
Overall, the 2019 Jaguar F-Pace may offer better value for your money
with its much lower starting price. It also has a significantly lower cost of
ownership because of its excellent fuel economy, longer basic and corrosion
warranties, and free scheduled maintenance. If you are interested in getting
the new Jaguar F-Pace, stop by for a test drive.
