One of the biggest automobile manufacturers in the world is Tata Motors, an Indian company with its headquarters in Mumbai. The conglomerate Tata Group, which conducts business in a number of sectors including telecommunications, hospitality, and steel, is the owner of Tata Motors.
WHO OWNED JAGUAR?
Jaguar wasn't always known for its upscale sedans, fast automobiles, and SUVs. In Blackpool, England, they had their start in 1922 as the Swallow Sidecar Company, producing sidecars for motorcycles. William Lyons and William Walmsley, the company's founders, immediately changed the name to S.S. Cars Limited, and in 1935 they manufactured their first "sports saloon" (also known as a sports sedan). In that same year, the open-top, two-passenger SS Jaguar 100 was also manufactured.
WHO MAKES JAGUAR?
The production of Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles continues to be handled by the UK. The JLR headquarters are located in Coventry, which is two hours north of London. Genuine Jaguar and Land Rover parts are produced at two design centers and three manufacturing facilities throughout the UK. Another factory that primarily produces Land Rover models is located in Halewood, close to Liverpool.
